Come join Rachael on Sunday as we explore building a 'chant tool kit' for your personal practice. We will begin the afternoon with a few exercises to open your voice that she has learned from her practice of classical Indian music and will drop into sharing and creating a song-kit for your personal chant practice. This will be a workshop taught in a circle format (co-creating more than a one-to-many approach).
Please bring your journal, pen, and singing voice!
On Friday enjoy our band's set (with Scott Wurtz on tabla and Jason Everett on Bass) Goddess/ Earth Chants: Our selection of songs will cover the Goddess in her many forms, as the warrior goddess Durge to the goddess of the Earth. We will harness this energy through chant and mantra this evening to find a deeper understanding of Her power in our own lives.

Rachael studies classical Indian music with the Gundecha Brothers and Shanti Shivani. She has studied kirtan with Gina Sala and Shawn Duffey. Trained as a musician from a young age, she has brought her passion for world music to yoga studios and homes around the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and India. She will be joined by bassist Jason Everett, and tabla player Scott Wurtz.
