Yoga, Reiki and Shamanic Breathwork®
What: This 75 minute session will weave the practice of yoga and Shamanic Breathwork to help you awaken your inner healer. We will begin with a short slow flow yoga sequence to help us get into our bodies so that we can be full present for our journey. Then we do a 30 minute Shamanic Breathwork session. After our Shamanic Breathwork session, you will have an opportunity to do some art work. We will conclude our session with time for a short sharing and closing ritual.
What is Shamanic Breathwork?®
Shamanic Breathwork® is a powerful healing process that inspires you to Awaken the Shaman Within™, reconnecting you with your inner healer allowing you to remember the magic of who you truly are.
The process begins by establishing sacred space using various rituals and ceremonies such as smudging with sage or palo santo while offering prayerful invocations. You will be asked to lie down and focus on surrendering to your healer (Shaman) within and to call upon that which is most sacred and holy to you, such as guides, power animals and your higher power. The drumming then begins which leads into a powerful musical journey for 30 minutes. Using the power of deep connected breathing you will be able to enter into a natural altered dream-like state, where your Ego defenses are released, and the journey unfolds in a variety of ways. Each person’s journey is highly individual. While you are on your journey, you will be supported by facilitators who will keep you safe and may if you would like, offer some Reiki support during your journey.
Who can come: All levels, must be able to come to the floor unassisted.

For most of us we spend our lives living in the ups and downs of our thoughts and feelings. It is through our ideas, stories and beliefs that we create our lives. Learning to make friends with our minds, we learn to step back from the world created by our thoughts and discover the inner peace and happiness that is independent from our thoughts.
Join Katherine in practicing mindfulness tools to create a path to your inner peace and happiness. The session will be 75 minutes long, and you will leave with skills you can take into your everyday life.
Katherine has practiced mindfulness for over 30 years, and it has transformed her life as she learns how to “love what is” by being in the present moment. She is a retired nurse practitioner and psychotherapist and currently has a life-coaching practice. She also offers Mindfulness Workshops and Retreats in homes, places of business, retirement communities, and yoga studios.
What do others have to say about Katherine as a teacher?
“I thought I was supposed to ‘just be’ more. Do less, be more—until I heard Katherine ask in one of her workshops, ‘How can we learn to be and do at the same time?’ She taught me to sit and focus on my breath—observe my thoughts from a distance, let them go gently, and return to the present moment. It is a constant cycle of slowing down to gain perspective, letting go, and returning to the truth of the present. With Katherine’s guidance, I’m starting to believe that life isn’t a choice of ‘be vs. do’. I am learning how it feels to be as I do, which changes everything.”—H. P. Enumclaw

What is your generative source of feminine power? How do we unhook from our culture’s consumer story of feminine power to tap into our body temple’s own sacred shakti fountain?
Join us as we dive in and unravel this often misunderstood mystery mandala!
The intent of Hatha Yoga – the name given to the physical branch of Yoga – is to awaken our inner energy and make it available for healing and spiritual progress. Asanas are one part of this ancient practice; equally important are mudras, which channel our inner energy and therefore strengthen its flow, bandhas, which bind the energy within the deep astral spine (sushumna) and help in releasing deep blocks, and pranayamas, which draw the energy into the astral spine. Each of these practices can be done separately; but they are far more powerful when combined with each other.
In this experiential class, Murali will guide you through the practice of key asanas, mudras, bandhas and pranayamas which will help you experience Hatha Yoga in a way that is closer to its original intent: to harmonize the body, mind and breath and thereby take us back to our natural state of health and well-being.
