I, Terah Lara, am the founder of Foothills Midwifery. After having my daughter at a young age, I went through medical assisting school and graduated with the highest honors. I continued my education and maintained subsequent nursing positions in nurse-midwifery and obstetrical offices. When I decided midwifery was my true calling, I attended several schools for my undergraduate classes, then went to Seattle Midwifery School (Bastyr) and the Midwives College of Utah, where I continued my education until graduation. I am certified by the National American Registry of Midwives (CPM) and by the State of Washington (LM). Throughout my education and career, I have attended over 500 births, worked directly with several midwives in Washington as well as a midwife in Mexico. As of January 2020, I opened Enumclaw's only Freestanding Licensed Childbirth Center.
